Gainsborough Specialist Bathrooms partners with Spearhead to deliver enhanced care home bathing

Gainsborough Specialist Bathrooms, part of the Gainsborough Healthcare Group, is delighted to announce its bathing solutions will now be supported by the care home supplier Spearhead.

Gainsborough is the respected name in accessible bathrooms, wet rooms and power assisted baths for the long term and acute care sector. For over 40 years, it has maintained its position as the thought leader in inclusive bathing so vulnerable residents, care staff and healthcare providers benefit on multiple levels. Quality service provision is a key part of the Gainsborough promise and as demand for its care baths continues to increase, it has decided to partner with Spearhead to ensure utmost efficiency.

Since 1991 and based in Irvine, Spearhead has been a supplier of consumables, equipment, furniture and equipment maintenance solutions to care homes across the UK. It has continually focused on providing a highly dependable service that builds lasting partnerships based on trust. This ethos synergises perfectly with that of Gainsborough and has resulted in these two respected specialists forging a new relationship to serve the care sector.

Fundamental to fulfilling installation, servicing and maintenance of Gainsborough baths, is training for the Spearhead engineers. Two sessions have now been completed at the Gainsborough Educational Facility in the West Midlands. Attended by the complete service team from Spearhead, accompanied by Martin Cook, Service Manager, the training programme provided a comprehensive and detailed approach to installing, repairing and servicing Gainsborough Pro and Bio baths. Martin Cook, Service Manager for Spearhead, comments:

“The service team and I have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of service that is the hallmark of Gainsborough. Add to this the reliable performance of their bath range, we believe this new partnership will deliver significant added value to all stakeholders associated with long term care. From bathers to carers to managers, the combination of two companies working together who put quality before price will undoubtably enhance care and CQC ratings for care homes who choose to work with us. Our highly established service workforce is now fully versed and highly motivated – ready to get out in the field and deliver a difference with Gainsborough baths.”

Peter Eckhardt, CEO, Gainsborough Healthcare Group, supported the training and concurs with Martin’s thoughts. In conclusion, Peter adds: “When you consider how closely we align in terms of business values, partnering with Spearhead is a natural evolution for us to increase bath servicing capacity whilst maintaining our respected brand reputation. Add to this their ethics, sustainability and vision and you have a partner that perfectly complements our strategic goals. Together, the healthcare sector has just got a whole lot stronger.”
